Great Court, British Museum

Visited the British Museum for some down time, inspiration and researching showcases for archive display. The Great Court is a wonderful glass covered public space. Visitors mingle, browse, shop, eat and just relax, perfect. The information and wayfinding signage is clear, simple and well designed.

GDA managed the design process of this new workplace. The stairs leading to the first floor feature treads and risers finished in accent red stud tiles, and unadorned satin anodised handrails with wire balustrade, that continue around the first floor landing.
