GDA won the commission to design and manage the new Estate Office at Hatfield House, moving the teams from the House to the old Clerk of Works building within the Estate. We carried out a measurement survey and produced CAD drawings of the new building and interviewed all departments to ascertain their needs and expectations. The design process, which included visits to London furniture showrooms, took five months. We instructed the main contractor and procured the furniture, lighting, storage and partition systems and graphics. The on-site installation was completed in just seven days. The new environment provides the Estate office with a modern, professional workspace with a central Hub, breakout areas and meeting rooms to encourage flexible working, better collaboration and social interaction.
