Just back from the 100% Design exhibition at Earls Court, London. The biggest event during the London Design Festival, the show attracts designers, architects, specifiers and retailers and is a good networking event and to see new products. It's moving to London Olympia in 2015, so another show moves out of Earls Court, prior to it's redevelopment to residential.
Lunchtime walk past the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red installation at the Tower of London. Marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. Created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins and stage designer Tom Piper, 888,246 ceramic poppies fill the Tower’s famous moat. The display finishes on 11.11.2014. Well worth seeing if you're in town.
