GDA studio is closed from 22 December until 3 January 2017 – it's been another wonderfully creative year and we wish all our clients, suppliers, colleagues and associates a Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year. This year's image is the Danish Christmas stamp design from 1988.
Got along to the opening weekend of the new Design Museum in London. Housed in the old Grade 11 listed Commonwealth Institute building with it's distinctive copper-roof, the venue is well worth a visit for anyone interested in the design industry, and as a new public space.
Got along to LuxLive 2016 exhibition at London's Excel Centre, Europes largest lighting event. Integrated control systems, LED technology and information gathering, the lighting sector is moving apace.
The Design Museum opens at it's spectacular new location on High Street Kensington on 24 November 2016. The move earlier this year from Shad Thames to larger premises is much anticipated by the design community and anyone interested in how good design plays a part in our everyday tasks and activities. GDA designed and produced the outdoor graphics supporting the display of a WW1 tank. The display is a centenary exhibition of the trials of the British tank. Our graphics display historic photos and letters from the War Office and Churchill. We direct printed 4/0 to 5mm Foamex and inset into a timber frame/post sign.
