I was fortunate to meet Hugh Casson back in the late 80s, an influential architect, designer, artist and writer of his time.
My father, E. Chas. Gardiner was on the Casson team working as a young designer on the 1951 Festival of Britain with the renowned exhibition designer Ronald Dickens.
I was to work with Ronald Dickins in his latter years designing floats for Lloyds of London at the Lord Mayor’s Show.
